Why not try arma/arma 2? Maybe realistic military tactical shooters could be enjoyed :P

I'd have to go with RTS. Couple good ones are: Supreme Commander 1 + 2, C&C Generals (and C&C in general), DOW 1 + 2, and SOASE (Sins of a Solar Empire).
