Section Attack Video.

A video of my section attack video, at kapooka. We had to cross a very large field, whilst under fire. We had to make our way to the two enemys at the end of the field, they had to killed/captured for us to successfully pass the test. We had to move tatically, which is three steps then hit the ground moving in a staggerd formation. There are three groups in a section, Assault group, Scout Group and Gun group. We usually use F89 Minimis aswell but we coulden't for some shit reason, they are the light machine guns if you don't know.

I was in gun group, first riflemen. You can see me crawling in this video and my hat is falling down my face because I had my balaclava still underneath it, it was like -2 degrees whilst doing this. So yea, it was fucking cold and it was one bitch of a field to move in.

Australian army trainning is worse than any movie you have seen. They get in your face and rip your testicals off and eat them for breakfast. However this is a new day and age, so they cannot physically harm you like they used to back in the 80's and such. You fuck up, they would beat the piss out of you. But now they threaten you with legal actions etc, which makes you shit your pants even more.

I called one of my corporals by his last name... So I said "Excuse me corporal *******." He came up to me and ripped me in half, "FUCK OFF!!!! *Walks up to my face, like 2 cm's away* I'm not your fucking mate!!!!, Your fucking missers and mine don't have fucking lunch together. Get the fuck back in your room you little cunt and start morning routines. No, actually EVERYONE START MORNING ROUTINES!!!"


So ya, we did morning routines for like two hours straight and it was not a good day at all.

Well, Yeah I personally have no military experience, however I have a friend who did US Ranger training and from what he told me it sounded like a bit of a doozy...I basically think Full Metal Jacket when I think training and such...but yeah thats a movie and i'm sure things are different for Australia and the US Rangers...

Oh well...That's why i'm not in the Army

Being a Ranger doesn't sound like a doozy to me. Apparently, to pass basic training, you need to camouflage yourself in one position for three days. If they spot you, you fail. You're not allowed to use the bathroom. So what do you do? Shit yourself, and lie around in it for three days.

The thing is mate, simple minded people see the army as just going around killing things and blowing shit up. Hell I love to shoot weapons and my job as being a riflemen involves killing. But being apart of the army also gives you values of life, key things to bring into a civilian lifestyle. Americans might not understand the value of mateship, as we australians do, but the memories, people you meet, places you see and the amazing things you do warrent the job intitlements.

So to answer your question in whole, no I don't like killing people and if I had the chance I would certainly avoid it. But my job is my job, and it dosen't mean I like war. It's basically to defend my country or people whom cannot defend themselves or attack those who deam a threat to us. Simple way to put it.

The fluro orange tips on the end of the rifle is a BFA. And the weapon we are using is the F88 AUS Styer with pikitinni rail.

Never seen brits BFA. But yea, ours just screw in and bang we are ready to roll.

You get fireteams each side telling eachother to move one at a time like on yours it was:

Rifles move (I think) then the next and with Brits its:

Fireteam Charlie prepare to move <pause> move. *Supress* *Fireteam Charlie move, then get doen*
