Yacht window texture not working on multiplayer

When I joined for the first time on my laptop, I had the same problem, as well as icons in the reclamation menu being missing textures. This issue isn't isolated.

You could just start over with a completely fresh install of Gmod, along with all your other source games.

Its also possible an addon is conflicting with the windows, if that specific texture has been altered or moved.

Are the windows themselves pink and blank or is it just the reflection? If you're not sure, a screenshot would work

It may be the reflection due to the windows onyl being pink and black when outside of the boat; but the glass gyroscopic compass on the dashboard of the yacht is pink and black as well.

The railings are showing the cubemap reflections properly though. If it's the reflections, you'll see the pink and back textures move about on the boat as you move. If its just the window texture, they'll stay in one spot on the boat. The gyroscope uses the same window texture as the windows though so It's probably the window texture missing.

The windows are clear inside the boat because the creator didn't apply a glass texture to the inside for the simple reason of, reflections on inside windows reflect the ground, making it hard to see. You'll notice that in the H500.

If its the missing textures then what else do I need to get?  I have HL2 ep 1 and 2 content and CS:S and L4D2 all enabled.  Do you have anything else that may help?

My laptop has all the games mounted. Its not on your end. Developers need to look into this issue.

try mat_specular 0 in console to see if it's just the reflections

If it was the bumpmap texture, you would see squares on the window but still look like glass. If it was the envmapmask, you would see reflections in a checker pattern but still see through the glass. Seeing how the rails on the boat are reflective, it's not any of those or a cubemap issue at all. The presence of the purple black checkers indicates a missing texture. That's the issue. Him, me, possibly other new players are missing materials/models/yacht/window.vtf (hypothetical, idk the real name) and that needs to be resolved.

I'll poke around for it later today.

I'm convinced that you can easily solve it by getting the workshop item I told you to get earlier in this thread... I checked my own Garrysmod directory and that workshop addon is the ONLY thing I have in there that is even close to anything related to that Yacht, and it works just fine for me. Both my root material and model directories are completely empty.

Just dump that in your root folder (aka just addons -> addons) and you SHOULD be good to go.

Ok, the textures are still missing and i have every hl2 game, tf2, CS:S, and l4d2 all games have been played at least once and are all mounted on gmod.

The only other thing that comes to mind is a hardware issue or an issue with DirectX.  Of course, I know next to nothing when it comes to this sort of thing so take my words with a grain of salt until someone knowledgeable confirms it.
