My computer is all AMD and i'm very happy with the performance. I have near the same specs you're planning on getting. There's no game that I can't run maxed out in my library except Crysis 3. So don't worry about AMD performance.
ok

Dont listen to anybody regarding intel v AMD v nvidia performance unless your wanting to go absoutely mad with loads of money and 101010101001010 fps. AMD works fine for gaming but yes, intel is better in gaming but amd is still perfectly playable. I think you may be pushing it a bit with your PSU but if your planning on not upgrading ever it should be fine, though id personally spend more on a psu as its something you dont want to skimp money on

also - have you considered getting parts off scan.co.uk and building yourself (if thats self build feel free to correct)
what

i was like 12 the first time I did it. it's like legos, they're just slightly more breakable.
Please don't PM me regarding bans or anything having to do with in-game situations. Only PM me if you've been told I am the only one who can solve your issue.

Everything is keyed, so if it doesn't fit where you're trying to put it it doesn't go there. Everything is also labeled pretty well on the motherboard. It's really fun building a PC so I recommend doing it.

you won't break anything. like I said, it's an incredibly simple process. seems like it'd be much harder then it actually is

Most companies where you can customise PCs also offer assembly services where you pay a little extra and get your pc plug-and-play ready at home.

Look it up on youtube. Newegg's youtube channel has some tutorials, that's how I learned. Took off and put some parts together n stuff. Before I thought it would be really hard but after watching the youtube tutorials and trying it myself it's actually really easy. All it really is just putting parts together, it's not like you are building the actual components from scratch or something.

also, scan.co.uk can offer builder insurance, so for an extra like 10 or 20 quid and your building your own pc if you do happen to break anything (like forcing something into the wrong slot with a hammer) then it can be replaced etc
what

I recommend this build (P.S I just bought this):

http://gyazo.com/8f2b92553fbeebeb6038aa830cc92475

Upgrade the CPU if you wish.
I do recommend windows 8.1 as i've seen a lot of games on steam cropping up with it as a recommended requirement. Plus it's really nice.
For the graphics card its up to you, NVIDIA are expensive but reward you with quality. AMD are cheaper and let you play at higher resolutions smoother.

No, do not go with Windows 8.1

Windows 7 is still the best plan for an operating system as Windows 8/8.1 is not optimized for gaming and actually knocks a large motherfucking chunk out of your gaming performance. It also has a bunch of limitations if you ever plan to do any development on them.

All in All, Windows 8/8.1 is a pile of shit.

lol theres like a minimal difference of about 1 fps in games between W7 and W8.1 so calling it shit doesn't work for that reason

W8.1 is really nice once you get used to it but id say its all about preference (i still use W7 btw) so choose whichever you want

I'm running Windows 8.1 and don't really see anything great about it. Kinda wish I went with 7 instead.

Unless you really want Windows 8.1 you may as well stick with 7 because you'll be more comfortable with 7, 8.1 has some annoying features.
ok
