Crash on startup
« on: June 01, 2011, 09:38:32 PM »
Hey guys, ive been trying to play on the OCRP server recently, but i crash (windows says that the game stops responding) whenever i connect to the server.

I have tried updating drivers/directx, ive restarted my computer (obviously lol), ive tried changing settings and fixing issues, all without success.

Any ideas of what might be causing these issues?

Try loading singleplayer and then joining.
Please don't PM me regarding bans or anything having to do with in-game situations. Only PM me if you've been told I am the only one who can solve your issue.

just tried it. made it into the game, HUD was all loaded up and everything but none of my rates were moving (ping in/outbound traffic etc.)

Give it a few moments. That means it is loading your information.

I think it crashes you when all your addons load after joining the server, try extracting the files inside the addons folder into your gmod/gmod folder, I had this problem after I did that it got fixed.

Maybe you guys just have to much content? Try to remove some of your content or re-install your GMod.

It could be because your computer is not good enough to hold up all of your content + OCRP.
Please do not add me on Steam because you have in-game problems. Make a thread in the correct board on the forum and i will respond to that whenever i have time.
