Buggy graphics card
« on: January 27, 2013, 07:03:23 AM »
Hi, I wanted to ask you for help, because I can not find the solution.
I have an AMD Radeon HD 4200 interchangeable, it is not powerful but at least it makes me run games at medium-high quality at 30fps. Going to the website of AMD, I downloaded and installed the latest graphics driver(using the Autodetect & Install), but instead of having increased the performance, it got worse: I see the textures all pixelated. Below is an example with the graphics to the maximum. In other words, although I have the quality to the maximum, it renders as in low quality.
Do you know how to fix this problem?

My PC: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&tmp_geoLoc=true&product=4300999

I have an FPS script installed that reduces texture/model quality to below the minimum, maybe you have one aswell? It dosnt show up in settings as if it was even changed.

Do you know how to check/change if I possess it too?

I just noticed that was released a few days ago a new version. Let's see what it does after I installed..

Isn't the AMD 4200 an integrated GPU? What's the exact name of the drivers you're downloading? Also what OS are you on?

You might be able to get that page in your language, not sure

In the AMD control panel there were options related to the game, but I thought that they were not to give these problems. Instead, look under the difference..

Nah, don't worry. I installed the driver and I played Left 4 Dead 2. It's 2 years old that I don't see a graphics like this on my PC. It's simply amazing to see normal again and not with that fucking pixelated effect. In addition, the games run quietly at 45 fps.
