IC Character Name: John Hanson
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.John Hanson had been shipped to C45 leaving behind his dark past in hopes of a better future. When he had arrived at the station he walked in and was sent onward by a CCA Unit. John reached the outside world and looked across the plaza to see what the new environment was like.
John immediately noticed that there was two separate groups. One group was near the far end towards the Nexus, one group was towards the Ration Distribution Terminal. John quickly figured out which group was sided with whom. John then walked over and sat down near the Nexus bench and scanned the outskirts making note of his new surroundings.
After John had settled into C45 he purchased an apartment and quickly figured out that he had to get himself a steady source of Tokens. John, on his way out of the UCH was stopped by a CWU worker: Leuthen and was quickly given a chance for a job. John figured that this was his best chance of settling in better and he quickly accepted the offer.
After a long day of work at his new job at the paper factory, John began to make way towards his home when he noticed a Unit tapping into his datapad and looking towards a Citizen, when John noticed the citizen had a peculiar armband. After the Unit walked away John stopped him and asked him what that was the Unit told him about Loyalist points.
John quickly learned about Loyalist points and how to gain them. He began to report Anti-Union papers and clean buildings and sweep the plaza. One day while John was sitting at a bench he decided to make friends with a unit on guard. He walked towards the Unit who was at the Nexus and began a friendly conversation with him. He learned the Unit and became very good friends with him: Unit 452.
After John had become an official Loyalist proudly showing off his new Loyalist armband he was walking around the plaza when suddenly loud sirens went off. He had no idea what had started happening until it had been in his face, Antlions had breached the City walls and were attacking innocent Civilians. John Hanson quickly turned from casual Citizen to a brave Citizen, he immediately made his way towards the station and began rounding up Citizens and dragging them into the safety of the Station. After rounding up about 30 Citizens he had looked out and saw a Unit crawling towards the Nexus as the hell began to really start. John sprinted out and grabbed her by the shoulder and picked her up, helping her along towards the Nexus. John was ripped to shreds by Zombies, fueled by pure adrenaline and brought the Unit, 252 into the Nexus.
After the streets were cleaned and the battles were over. John made his way to his CWU buddy Leuthen's (Who had recently been promoted to Med.) House. He told Leuthen the story as he patched him up and sent him on his way. As John walked the streets of the plaza he wondered if the Unit he nearly died for had made it alive. John lost many friends in the battle and he made his final decision to join the CCA. John altered his path towards the Nexus to put in his papers.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.OOC'ly I believe that joining the CCA will be a blast of an RP experience and a challenge all the same. I also believe that the shift of view from one side of the stunstick to the other should show for an interesting experience. Another thing I think will be interesting is to see the orders that I eventually must give out be successful and the Units under my command become a well-oiled machine. I believe that as a CCA Unit I will be able to rise in the ranks until I hit the top and become the best of the best. I will be expecting the RP to change greatly over time, from John being a simple Citizen in a suit to a combat-experienced Unit.
IC'ly John Hanson see's that his time as a CCA Unit will give him the chance to avenge his friends who were killed by ignorant rebels. John sees the training to be a test of his skills and he feels as though he is mentally prepared for the challenges he will face on the road ahead. John believes that he will be an honorable Unit and a strong leader to come. John believes that his rough and strict past will aid him in his new and bright future ahead of him. John Hanson expects that during his early months in the CCA he will be hazed until he is shaped into a Unit that will be able to carry out all tasks with ease.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.John Hanson was born into a family of 4 on a farm north-east of Tullamore, Ireland. John's family consisted of himself, his mother, his father, and his older sister. He lived a peaceful childhood tending to the farm and learning the tools of the trade. On his 8th birthday John's father had given him a Crossbow and a quiver of arrows. John quickly learned the tool inside out and became a strong aim with it.
When John was 13, John's father had become ill and was barely able to tend to the farm, much less hunt for the family. John quickly had to be the one to hunt for his family, so he ventured out and on his first day he came home shamefully and needed to tell his family that they would not be eating meat that night. On his second day he had been out in the woods again and had been hearing sounds behind him all the time, but he paid no attention to them. On his third day he finally realized that those sounds were of deer that had been able to get by him. On his fourth day John had tuned his ears to listen. When suddenly he heard everything, he heard the sounds of movement behind him; John quickly turned around and saw the source of the sound. A large buck, John slowly raised his Crossbow but was too late, the buck had run off leaving John to go home fruitless once again. On his Fifth day of hunting he swore that he would come home with food for his family. Again he heard the familiar sounds and quickly turned around, snapped his Crossbow up and took aim at the buck, he pulled the trigger. The bolt soared through the air and drilled the buck right in its heart killing it nearly in an instant. John lowered his crossbow and smiled greatly, dragged the buck home and celebrated with his family. He now had a new skill.
When John's father had died John and his Sister had to work on the farm to its fullest extent. John's mother was of no help either because of her old age, she was far too frail. John had no rest, he sometimes was unable to sleep because he had to keep working to keep his family alive. John kept hunting until his skills were refined to a sharp point. He had worked on his farm and became well built and strong.
John was schooled at home by a hired tutor who taught him things such as mathematics, science and history. John's tutor was a strongly built man with a deep accent who got his education at a military school, he ground John down when he failed tests or didn't do his work correctly. John learned that everything he did had to be perfect in life.
John was listening to his radio one day when the channel switched to an emergency announcement saying that cities across the world were being shut down by an unknown force. John looked at his radio queerly and wondered what in the hell that it meant. Suddenly John's front door burst open and that unknown force put him on the ground and knocked him out with a fierce rifle butt to the temple. Everything went black, and at that moment John had worried more about his family then he ever had in his entire life. When John had come to he woke up in a train and looked at his watch, missing, John then noticed he was stripped of his casual attire and was now wearing blue clothing with a number. He noticed a tag on his chest and looked at it “16706” the tag read.
When the train came screeching to a halt, he got out and found himself in a station that he had not seen before. He was pushed along by men in all black with glowing blue eyes. John wondered to himself how long he had been out cold. The doors opened to reveal a sign saying “C18, It’s safer here.” At this point John really began to wonder things such as the location of his family, where he was, who these people were. But he soon realized that these people were a threat to humanity. As John moved along he was stopped by a group of humans who told him “You don't like them either, do you” John responded “Nope.” They brought him to what seemed like a factory. They gave took him in as family and he began to go to work against these new enemy's.
John soon was a professional runner for the resistance in his local area. He ran packages that he never knew the contents of, never at once was he caught in his act of rebellion. He delivered packages across the city and made acquaintances where he went. John came back one day to the factory to find all of his former friends executed by another resistance. He looked at them taking all of the packages, taking everything, stripping his former friends. He quickly ran to his apartment and shut the door tight. And said to himself “What the hell, we are under the same cause. Why do they do this” John looked back to see the men who he just watched kill his friends get lined up on a wall by the new CCA Units that were formed a few weeks back. John watched happily as the Units executed the men by firing squad.
John later received in the mail a paper stating that he was to report to the train station for relocation. John looked at it for a while before he started to pack his belongings and loaded his suitcase, when he was about to load his resistance cloth he stopped himself. John looked at it and stood there for a while looking at his cloth. John took the cloth and threw it in the trash can and said to himself “I am done with this, even in a time of need humanity still fights for itself selfishly.” John walked to the train station and boarded his train to C45, his new home. While John was on the train he thought to himself: “When I get off this train, I am a new man. I will no longer be a resistance fighter. I will fight for the better good of humanity. On the right side in this new world, next to the Universal Union”

We had three Blackhawk's and one of them went down to RPG fire. Heavy losses throughout the entire unit. It was a fun RP moment for me.

Reason for the edit: My character is not Bi-polar come to think of it, I meant to put in Clostraphobic. Have no Idea what I was thinking when I put Bi-polar in.
