I work about 20 hours a week at a gas station. Insurance costs $138/mo. I got the car for 5K.

That's the issue I have right now. My job is only paying me $6.50/hour right now, but I just started 1 1/2 months ago. They said after 90 days it would get raised to minimum wage, which is about $7.30. The Jeep will have expensive insurance for me since it's a 2010, plus I would have to get extra coverage if I plan on going off-roading. I'll have to work it out, but if it leads to me leaving the Jeep for now, I may just have to.

I guess its not so bad for you. But in the UK it is said we have the highest insurance prices on the planet.

Young drivers

Drivers aged 17 to 22 have again taken the brunt of the increases with a typical premium of £2,431 being paid: more than 64% higher than 12 months ago. Young men continue to pay much higher premiums (average Shoparound quote £3,052 [$4963.15]) than young women (£1,767).

It would be more for me since i'm only 17.

Last time i checked, my insurance quote for provisional insurance was around £5000 ($8130) and that was the cheapest.
The most expensive on the other hand, was £16,000 ($26019). How am i suppost to get better at driving if they put their prices that high? It makes me angry and upset :/

haha so apparently. the pipe the goes to my catalytic converter broke off from the catalytic converter, and now my car sounds freaking badass! The best problem to ever happen to my car :3

Not my image buts its almost same colour (mines hint of blue) its about £1500 yearly on insurance, 09 model, 1.2 petrol 6 speed manual. And its got a big punch!
