IC Character Name: Ryan Peters
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.My character was born in New York, every day he saw self-acts of crime & hatred spread across the city. He was always was the type to want to help others if they are in need or worry, especially the innocent. When growing up he saw one of his best friends killed by an armed gunman, ever since then he has been on the note of wanting to stop violence and promote safety. Another big thing that happened to my character was when he was in City 18 and he saw an innocent civilian get beat to death for an unknown cause, this really made him mad and furious inside and he knew it would be best to join the cause and help stop that behavior. He is a strong believer in discipline and trying to make a difference. Every day while in City 45 he carries his request device handy, he uses it many times a day and mostly reports Non-Union items being found or citizens running into restricted sectors, when he joins the CCA the citizens will not have to worry to use that request device too often because he will be out there making sure everything is okay and good. He does not only want to join the CCA to clean the Anti-Civil activity off the city streets, but he wants to join because he sees that they are there for the better good and quality of life. He wants to join for the benefits the Union has to offer, whether it is good meals or nice living quarters. He feels the need to help City 45 in any way possible and he cannot think of any better way to do so than applying for the Combine Civil Authority. My character believes the combine are saviors to the earth. The combine may have wiped most of the earth’s population down, but my character thinks it is for the better good. He is in strong disbelief of what the resistances are doing; and he believes the combine are there for the good and the resistance are there to make things worse. My character believes highly in what the combine are doing and joining them will help give back to what they did for me and the great life they have given me in City 45.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)My character is a Perfectionist, one who wants the best results from his duties. He is Trustworthy, he is someone you could go give information and would not give it out. He is Mature; he always acts on his best behavior and likes to set examples. He is very ambitious and has big dreams for his future.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.I expect the Combine Civil Authority to bring me the best of RP. Being a CCA unit is not all fun and games and takes a high level of maturity and skill to work with it which is right up my alley. I expect CCA faction on this server to be 110% better than others because of all the effort I see that is put into it, and to experience it for yourself must be mesmerizing to any good Role Player. I expect it to be tough on my character but nothing he cannot handle. I expect there to be great RP moments that you will remember for a lifetime, especially ones that last for days. I expect there to be moments where the high command get mad at a unit and give him a blackmark or two. I expect a better life for my character. I expect that my character will clean up the anti-civil behavior and get good rewards for keeping the peace. I expect to meet units who are expressing all kinds of emotions while in the Nexus or even outside. I love to promote diversity, I want to see and I expect that all units will act different when among their peers. I expect there to be fun events for my character to partake in, the events that are used on CG are always fun and prove to be worthy of waiting for.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Ryan Peters was born in 1974 in New York. He was a normal boy trying to grow up in a city full of scum and crime. There was always something going on in the city whether it be a killing or a robbery, Ryan took to seeing this as he was growing up. His father was a part of the NYPD making ends meet, his father was investigating a homicide in the lower Manhattan projects when he was struck by a car that was fleeing from the scene of the crime. Upon Ryan finding out he was torn apart and at the time he was around the age of 17 and decided it would be best for him to get a job. The only jobs available where in the construction field that he could get with having a good pay. He took a job up in Brooklyn that had a good pay and reasonable benefits. About 10 years later he was out of the house and still in the construction business, now owning his own company using the skills he got from his later jobs. 8 years later he was at a site with his crew of 10, they were building homes for the needy in a development near the Hudson River. There were a couple tremors that morning followed by rumbling but nothing that would be noticed if busy. Later on in his day he noticed a strange gleaming light in the sky and also heard it on the news and how it was showing up everywhere around the world. About 1 hour later the gleaming lights started getting brighter and started to lower closer to the earth, he could head loud noises and wondered what the hell was going on, the lights where flickering and eventually went out. That was the time the Portal Storms arrived, Ryan ran with everyone else including his crew to a local city where police where helping others get to safety. Sometime later the 7 hour war began and the Combine arrived taking citizens to locations, they were not told where they were being taken to. Ryan arrived in a city the Combines called "City 18" The units there where mean and the food was horrible, Ryan did not like the atmosphere at all. About 5 months into his time there he was put on a list to be transferred to another city that some people where calling "City 45" Upon his long arrival by train he was forced into an apartment and forced to watch the city administrator give a speech. After staying in the city for a short period of time he liked the atmosphere that it possessed and started getting situated in. Ryan made a couple friends and also having the thoughts of helping the Combine better themselves. Ryan began cleaning the streets by picking up trash and cans that he saw and through them away in the designated zone. Ryan got to the point where he had over 19 Loyalist points. Ryan made up his mind that he was going to apply for the Combine Civil Authority and help them keep peace and support his Benefactors.
