Buying Metal

What happened when the bug occurred? Buying one metal works fine, you pay the normal price. When buying two metal, even if I had the exact amount of money needed for two, it says I don't have enough. Someone reported that it cost $6k for them to get 5 metal.

What was supposed to happen? Buy all metal for the correct price.
