IC Character Name: Rain Pentell
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.Rain wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he sees the CCA as the hero’s, the men and woman fighting the good fight, the true fight. He believes the real enemy is man himself, and that anyone fighting alongside the rebel side need to be dealt with, and the only way to do that is with action rather than words. Rain knows that to be in the CCA is to be under the command of another; Rain grew up working as an apprentice in a car repair shop, and grew up listening to command's and order's. Rain thinks of the CCA as the law and power that keeps the earth under control.
Rain wishes to become a CCA member because the rebels are the enemy; he often sees them fighting other citizens rather than the Combine, which is getting them nowhere. In his eyes if the rebels were to rebel, it should be against the Combine, not each other. Rain thinks of the Combine Civil Authority as confused children, and that harming them is like harming a young child. They are choosing what they think is right, and should not be attacked or mistreated by other civilian's for their choice.
Rain want's to join the CCA because as he grew up he always dreamed of being a Police officer. In Rains mind the CCA are just like police, except better in nearly every way. Rain believes the CCA to be the cure to man’s need for power money and sex. In all, Rain wishes to join the CCA to continue to mold and shape the future of man, thus resulting in a better world.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.I am expecting the CCA to be a learning curve for me, a new way to roleplay. I am also expecting it to be tough at times to follow all command's without hesitation, especially when dealing with torture, but I am willing to do so. I am also expecting to have to do things slightly out of my comfort zone, such as beating someone, but like I mentioned, I will do so if told. I also expect to get yelled at by higher commands for making a mistake(s) and having to control my temper and not argue or yell back.
My character is expecting to help the betterment of the civilian's living in City 45 by clearing away rebel's. He is also expecting the CCA to be a tough and challenging job, but he is prepared to work to the best of his abilities to see to the approval of higher ranking unit's. He also expects he will be yelled at a lot, and is slightly nervous about being around higher command. He expects over-all to have a tough time being a CCA in the beginning but he expects it will get easier as he progresses in ranks.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Rain grew up in a small town in Canada, he lived with his father, mother and two sister's for the first eight years of his life, he always dreamed of being a police officer, and spent much of his time playing with his toy guns, and watching cowboy and police show's on the television. At the age of eight his mother left to care for her mother. His father grew weak and confused without her, and soon grew away from Rain altogether, Rain then fended for himself until he was 12. At the age of 12 his sister's had both moved out and were in college, he was in grade eight, his mother finally returned. She did not stay for long, just a few months, and then she packed up and left. Rain grew away from mankind and spent much of his nights locked away in his room watching television and doing homework. At 15 Rain dropped out of high school and took an apprenticeship at a car repair shop a few town's over. He worked under the command of his father’s best friend, who didn’t like Rain very much. At the age of 19 Rain finished his apprenticeship and moved out to start his own repair shop, where he worked for the next 2 years. A man arrived at his shop one day during his honey moon, and after seeing Rain’s exceptional work on his car, he offered Rain a job at his Toyota plant in the United States without a second thought Rain packed his bags and moved to the United States, he worked as a mechanic in that plant for a year, than was transferred to another plant where he worked as the head mechanic. By the time he turned 25 he had grown tired of the mechanic life, he nestled down in a smaller town, he was working as a part-time bartender well he looked for a new job, but before he could, the 7 Hour War happened.

What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?My most memorable quality RP experience actually just happened a few days ago, I was walking down the street on the HL2RP server, (I was playing as my coloured male, Not sure if that is the reason for the following event but.) when a DvL stopped me for no apparent reason, he told me to get on the wall so I did as commanded, then he proceeded to beat me senseless. After waking up in the dumpster, I managed to move to the UCH before collapsing of exhaustion where a kind lady took me in to her apartment and bandaged me up nurturing me back to health. It wasn’t action packed but it was the best RP I have seen in a while.
