Raul Esteban's Civil Authority Application

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Ever since the 7 Hour War, Raul was always looking at things outside the box, as he looks to why the Combine did let the more civil members of the human race survive. One with minimal defects, and others who are litterally perfect. He knows that they keep them malnourished for good reasons, and they confined them to keep them safe and civil. He knows its his life now to be safe and let the ones who let him survive keep on letting everyone survive. If you cannot beat them, then why not join them?
Raul was a thinker. He passed school with speed, as he paid attention in classes for a great while. Thus, is what got his thinking straight. So what did he think from the 7 Hour War, and after it? Well, he knew nobody could have survived. It was impossible. The ones who did survive are due to the fact that the Universal Union let them survive. He might be neglectful of them due to the fact that they are the ones who would have attacked his home planet inittially, but as he thinks, it is better to say that he would thank them for not killing him. He was loyal to whom his higher up is, and the Universal Union pretty much took over control. He knows he is just a pawn in the works, so to give him a better life then what he is dealing with now, he depends on the Combine Civil Authority to do so.
He knows that what the Combine Civil Authority does is harsh to most people, but its for the best. Keeping everyone malnourished is basically the minimum human requirements to survive. Sure, you can spend more tokens on food, and you might not get as malnourished then most citizens, but he lasts on rations since he needs supplies for himself, and others. He is a helpful and resourceful person to think of not only himself when it comes to the citizens he interacts with, but with others who seem trustworthy. And even then, being confined to such cities is the best way to keep a stable community as well. Having everyone going out of the city will probbably result in many deadly consequences, and thats what Raul's job was: To save as many lives as possible.
His life is pretty shitty, if you do mind my language. And with all that trust he has recieved from the Combine Civil Authority, he wants to give a nice shot at helping the community even more by being the ones to defend and keep it civil. He knows what the Universal Union is trying to do, and even then, thinking out of the box, this descision will end up better for him, and for everyone.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Obviously Pure, as he wants to help others as much as possible with speed. He is loyal to anyone that is higher of command and anyone that he needs to be loyal to. He is skillful in what he does best, which is medicine and surgery. Lastly, he is Steadfast, being tough mentally who is able to withstand high ammounts of torture and such.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I expect the Combine Civil Authority to be much more different then most would expect from roleplaying as a citizen to a Civil Authority Unit. I expect it to be a great experience to follow orders from higher commands, and to act in from what the unit would be allowed to do. I expect that being a recruit would be more focused on being trained to become an official unit, and as a standard unit, patrol and keep the city safe. I also expect to be able to roleplay comptemptly with all of my fellow Civil Authority Units, and be able to expand the roleplay possibilities for myself, and others.
As for my character, he will experience what he needs and probbably deserves what a Civil Authority Unit will experience, which will also expand my, and others, roleplay experience as well. Even so, I expect for my character to be loyal and tough as well. I expect the roleplay for my character to be superb, since I have a great history on roleplaying. Even so, There is many things that can happen, and mostly me and my character will cooperate with other players and characters alike to deal with such situations. And last but not least, I think that others would enjoy roleplaying with my character, as I have put much time into the character itself.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Raul Esteban was your normal kid that actually show signs of being a genius at a young age. Even knowing the ways of computer usage at a pretty young age, and even reading fluently before grade school, he grew up to great careers choices. However, he was emotionally scarred when his parents separated and his mother got a bit rowdy with him, essentially ruining his childhood. Nevertheless, he got a great education, and decided to get knowledge and a carrier of the Medical Divisions of the world. He soon became a Doctor's assistant, and then a Doctor himself, and he did a pretty good job of it. His mother was somewhat proud of him, and his life went great with his pledge to help others. So he had a great career ahead of him, and then what happened afterwards would change his life forever.
The Seven Hour War happened. The world was surprised, and Raul did believe that the world had ended at that day. He hid, fruitlessly savoring his last moments to live. He couldn't run from what was inevitable, and he was found by the Combine at last, giving him a tough hand to transfer him to such cities. He feels that he has been saved, and at the same time, killed. However, being sent into City 45, he seems to have realized that the earth's attackers has given him a chance to live. To be Civil, they say. He agrees. He knows he cannot fight, so he successfully succumbs to the Universal Union. Its what everyone had to do, to be honest. But he did it faster than anyone else, because he knows how to think outside the box.
As he stayed in the city, he made friends, and he tried to help others as much as possible. Its been like this for such a good while. He stayed loyal, cleaning the city constantly and constantly. Soon enough, he saved enough tokens to get a permit for selling goods. The hard part was actually getting the links to ship goods to the stores he was. He thinks its a temporary thing, as he spreads supplies and goods to others. And at that time, he became a Level 1 Loyalist, given to those who are truly loyal. They get double rations, and are extremely thankful to the Combine Civil Authority for such gifting to the Loyals. So he thought for a second for the best way to actually help the city stay civil and safe. He wanted to keep the city safe from crime and give people reason to stay civil. What his next plan of action is, is pretty obvious at this point.

My most memorable quality Roleplay Experience is when I was roleplaying as a character in one of the text-only roleplays. I developed the character so well that I grew an emotional attachment to the character. I knew I was doing good the second I started crying when my character was experiencing a lot of distress.

Yes, I have been detained once for following a man to a hidden enterance to the sewers. I did not enter the enterance to the sewers, however I tried convincing him not to go before a Combine Civil Authority unit saw both of us. The other ran off and at that time and I was detained for level three Trespassing, without any resistance in my part.
2. Do you regularly eat Combine Civil Authority Issued Rations?
Yes.
3. Are you willing to give your life to the cause of the Universal Union?
Yes, I am willing to give everything I can to to cause of the Universal Union.

I want to join the Combine Civil Authority because I simply want to keep the city civil. Lately I have been witnessing many things that render the city uncivil, such as citizens running in the streets, citizens locking others in apartmants, and I've even had to report a murder of a local CWU. I want to take care of things for the greater good of City 45, and I feel that joining the Combine Civil Authority is the best way to take care of such problems: Directly.

I, Raul Esteban hereby swear my mind, body and soul to the Universal Union forever so long as I draw breath. I do so knowing that my actions will be held accountable to me and solely myself. I also declare my knowledge that as a Member of The Universal Union that I will be required to perform tasks above and beyond as well as perform ANY task ordered to by ANY commanding person(s).
