IC Character Name: Andrew Broddigan
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so. My character, Andrew Broddigan wishes to join the CCA in order to help them and be a part of them. Andrew has always looked up to the combine and it would be a joy for him to be in the CCA. Andrew respects and adores the combine. This is very strange, because even though they beat him for making mistakes, he feels attached to them.
Ever since Andrew was a child he wanted to be in some form of authority. In fact, Just a few months before the war he was going to apply to be a police officer. Once the combine took over it changed Andrew's perspective on a lot things. He didn't think that the combine were bad, or his enemy; He thought that this is what he had always wanted.
When the combine invaded, Andrew was moved to city 45 permanently. When Andrew had realized that the combine ruled with an iron fist, he was ecstatic. This is what he had always wanted, a real government that was strict and wouldn't tolerate idiocy. Andrew soon began to do as much work as he could for the combine, getting his title as full loyalist. Once he was a loyalist, he knew that he had to apply to be a civil protection officer.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Andrew has always been lawful, and never let anybody down when they counted on him.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.I believe that the CCA will be an enjoyable experience for a new type of roleplay for me, and my character. My character will be thrilled to be a CCA and he expects that he will be accepted as a combine enforcer.
I am expecting it will be a good experience to learn new things about the combine and to finally be a part of them.
I think it will be a good way for my character do develop skills such as honor, integrity, strength and courage.
I'm looking forward to joining the CCA because I've always liked the combine, they've helped me through a lot of things and I would certainly love to be a part of them.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words. Andrew was born in what used to be, the state of Texas. He did what you would think every Texas child did, he rode horses and helped on the farm. He needed to work so hard on his farm because his father passed away from a stroke when he was seven years old. Andrew didn't have many friends growing up because his home and farm was away from the cities. Due to poor lack of medicine, his mother grew weaker and weaker as Andrew grew and became stronger. When Andrew was 19, his mother died in her sleep. After this, He pursued his dream of becoming a police officer, and took special classes at college. Just after Andrew had finished college, about a week later, the war happened. Andrew, as a child, always looked up to people of authority seeking a father figure. When Andrew was moved to city 45, he did his best to obey and do as much for the combine he could. The combine were his new authority figure, and he felt attached to them. He worked very very hard to attain his loyalist armband. He was very proud of his loyalist armband, and almost worshiped it. He would show it off to everybody. He was new in city 45 and never wanted to leave. Life was great for Andrew, besides the occasional beatings of course, but he didn't care.
One day, he felt adventurous and decided to explore places that he's never been. Andrew walked around looking for new places to explore. He found district 2. Andrew ventured into district 2 and found nothing very interesting, just the CWU headquarters. Andrew came back to the plaza and then went into district 6. This was a giant mistake and Andrew wouldn't know that until later on. He ventured past the hardpoint and went down the long hallway into district 6. What he saw fascinated him, a large pit full of garbage and old vehicles. He decided not to climb into it for his own safety. Andrew then continued down the other hallway into the rest of district 6. He stopped abruptly and saw what it looked like a man on his knees. Two men were holding guns against his head. Andrew backed up behind a corner, peering his head out a little. They were going to shoot him! Andrew watched in horror as the rebels shot the man and left him there. Upon examining his body he found a loyalist armband. Andrew then cautiously jogged out of district 6, never to go there again.
