TESTING IS OVER
Thanks to everyone who came to test it.



Tomorrow(September 24, 2011) at 11 AM PST  The Tower Defence will be open to the public for beta testing.
After 3 hours it will be closed.

SERVER IP: 64.31.14.197:27023
If you add it to your favorites and then check it's name, you can see how much time there is left until it's open.

There should be more public beta tests in the future. Be sure to check them out!

There are 2 walls. I don't think there is a way to pass both walls with vehicle exit, since you would need one vehicle in between both walls.

I fixed it.  Tomasas kinda forgot a ")" in an important file that links the forums to the server.

Shit happens when you're tired, try to change shit and don't have the time to test it. Though I don't remember it giving me any errors...

Tomas no offense but that gradient is about as pretty as a 60 year old dead hooker.
Post a suggestion in the TTD board on how to improve it. I didn't have much time to think of a design.

Any eta on beta testing (if allowed in ofcourse).
There will be atleast a few where I would need the server atleast half full server for testing, but I will most likely pick people who are online when I decide/have the time to do testing.


Andy-ways, how does this support multiplayer.
Everyone has the same perks, money, upgrades, benefits.
Is anyone able to upgrade the other' towers.
Does anyone have their own spot, how does this work?
This will be Co-op. Supporting probably 16-20 players per server, but not yet decided how much.
Everyone will get money for a kill.
You can only upgrade your own towers.
Depends on the map for spots, but everyone can build any place they want as long as it lets them build there.

Surprise!

I'm happy to announce a new gamemode,
The Tower Defence



Some key features are:

  • Sexy HUD and Menu's
  • Six(6) Towers
    • Tower upgrades
    • Tower range display
    • Cool sounds and effects

  • Automated waves
  • 20 lives for each game
  • Different waves for each map
  • Game balance
  • Wave indicator with info
  • 80% to 125% game difficulty option
  • Lockable session vote
  • And more...

Tower Info:

Rocket Tower
 Shoots rockets, dealing high splash damage.

Laser Tower
 Single target, high damage and attack rate.

Plasma Tower
 Permanently slows a single target, also dealing some damage.

Lightning Tower
 Huge splash range, hitting everyone around it.

Sniper Tower
 Huge range, dealing percentage of max health as damage.

Flamethrower Tower
 Deals damage and sets it's targets on fire, dealing damage over time.

TTD is in testing stage. Closed Beta testers will be hand selected.

I recommend that we some how not do the trailer on Orange Cosmos due to the hud spam n such. We should just borrow a sandbox server on 33x.

HUD can be disabled if you ask nicely  ;)

Probably 5-10% of the people had horrible pc lag on the new map. You should have waited atleast a week to see if it got better once people got the new map downloaded.
