Half-Life 1-2 OST

I grew up playing Half-Life because of my brother. My brother ordered the issue of some magazine that came with the Demo. I was hooked. So I waited then forgot about it but when it came out I was in love. So then Hl2 came out some time after and the music of these games we're a huge part of my childhood. Music from games or just heavy orchestral music sometimes makes me tear up. I was on the floor crying when they told me skyrim was coming out (VGA or Video Game Awards). Yeah I'm a nerd. When the Skyrim trailer came out I was about to f*ck my PC. Anyways back on topic. The half-life music is what got me into electronic music. Links below.

I felt like the hl2 soundtrack didn't add much to the game... It was more like a part of it than a separate entity, you know? It was just there, not really making itself stand out in any way.
-Which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

I kinda view that as good thing.  Music in video games isn't supposed to make you stop and go "Damn, that's sexy music" but it's supposed to add to the experience.  High paced music for action sequences, dramatic music for sad/thriller moments, that kinda thing.
