A problem I'm having with a new christmas graphics card.

So I recently got a zotac nvidia GeForce GT 610 and when I mount it into my PC, it doesn't send any signal at all to the monitor.
I have tried everything at here but nothing works.
Any suggestions?

It might just be a faulty card. If you have another PC available with the right mobo, test it in that and see if it works. I'm no expert or anything, but that is the fault that springs to my mind if you've tried everything in that help thread.

What kind of cable and monitor are you using? Did you connect the monitor to the card itself? Is the monitor plugged in and on? Does the monitor work on other computers? Did you connect the card to the 6 pin PSU slots (if it has any)? Does your motherboard have onboard video?

I'm using an HDMI cable to DVI. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

AFAIK it is.

I have tried a different cable, but there isn't another port possible.

It could either be a faulty card, miss-fitted card or broken RAM.

Try removing and re-slotting the graphics card as with most customers that have tried to install a graphics card themselves, this has been the problem.

As for ram, slot in your old graphics card and see if that's working, when ram goes, it goes at the weirdest of times without any evident problems beforehand.

If the above suggestions haven't solved it, RMA the card.

Im pretty sure the 610 has pnp. If not then hed have to rely on onboard display to do it.

Thanks, I'll try that. It's probably a faulty card because the bios is trying to use the card but it isn't working.
