New Server?

Well I was searching on the GMOD server list and i found a server with Army RP. There's only one and it's constantly full, If Catalyst-Gaming introduced an Military type roleplay it would grow this community so much. With the dev team that we have we can make a kickass Military RP, such a suggestion. Please comment back with your thoughts. It's also loads of fun, check it out if you have the time

I like this idea, maybe have to factions fighting it out all the time too?  We could probably imply WAC into it aswell.

Well I think we should get rid of one HRP server since noone reallys plays it anymore and not even one of them are ever full and maybe the Hl2RP since noone plays that and make one badass Military RP, it will boost this community so much

Removing the servers will be the call of the Owners as will adding a military RP server. I like the idea, however this thread would nee to take off and have loads of support before its thought about being added.

I support this for sure, a new RP server could bring more traffic and members into C-G. Hl2rp is barely ever populated..perhaps replace it?

I support this. Military roleplay is becoming very popular and there are only a few military rp servers out there. Replacing a dead server such as HL2RP or TTT wouldn't be a risk of losing anything since those servers are dead.

Exactly, just replace a server that is dead. It will benefit this community and make it bigger and better if we do make an Military RP

No offense, but military is really not all that. I speak from experience. I've played it before and it is extremely bland and gets old really fast imo. If I wanted to sit around getting yelled at by a half baked drill sergeant I would go join the military. Which is why I heavily dislike rp based on real life events. Fictional rp is waaaay better. It leaves more room for creativity and imagination. Hence HL2rp, Metro2033rp, Falloutrp, Epidemicrp, so on and so forth.

I play rp to order to be someone else I am not in real life in a world that is not my own in order to experience what it could be like in the shoes of someone who is not me and has to deal with things that are otherwise difficult to comprehend under normal circumstances.

I do not support this. Not the addition of a new RP server, but of this type of genre.

Maybe we could have the military rp like... 3 factions, kind of like wasteland rp but different in the sorts of that it is not waste land.  Make it so the three factions can either team up and wipe out one another, peace conferences and such can be rp'd aswell.  Maybe have it to where the three are idk, USSSR, USA, Middle east or something, idk.  This also could include tanks and such and cool warfare rp style aswell.

That's a good idea. If any of you have played Mercenaries, it could be similar to that.

Pretty much in agreement with Sexy Frog on this one. Although our serious RP server HL2RP is pretty much dead at this point I don't think Military RP is the most suitable replacement. It's very boring and from my experience with Dark Fraction's, and I can almost guarantee a majority of the CG playerbase and Gmod RP community won't enjoy it which is saying a lot since they really did put a great deal of effort in making it fun. But that's my opinion on the idea, because all you really do when it comes down to it is either train or shoot and without the constant need for admins to make up events it gets even more boring.

Unless you have Gold or VIP and can be taliban or enemy and make it fun, you musta've not played Dark Fractions 3rd Army Roleplay, it was really fun and constantly full.
