The Outlands' Inn (Downtime Roleplay Thread)

A female shape moves across the road, to one of the dark, empty buildings near the inn and settles herself into a window, watching the door, her radio laid next to her.

[Dallas]

**Edwin hears the monotone words boom through the Inn towards the back room, he pauses, turning to Ali, fixing his coat inwards before saying..**

"Right, so, I think he's either gone or going, we should go back through. Very strange- he didn't shoot. Which could mean he's here peacefully or..."

**Edwin turns slightly, shifting his gaze to the banister.**

"It's killed everyone just by looking at them."

**Edwin attempts to lead Ali back towards the banister.**

Suddenly Matt walks in to the clinic doors facing the unit and OTA down.(Matt's about Six foot two inch, Tactical vest, Hunting rifle slug, graying hair/beard, Revolver in hand, Stern fearless look on his face.)
Matt stops just past the door way staring at the unit.
Slowly, he holsters his revolver, clearly not wanting to start a fight.
"Why. Are. You. Here."(Yes, that's a statement)

Beans flicks the clip on the strap of his Mossberg, letting it roll out a bit before he swings it under his arm, letting it hang over his back.

Well apparently he only came here to fuckin' insult us, not a business trip I guess.

Beans would turn, eyeing Edwin and Ali through the hallway to the big room, shaking his head rapidly as he points at the teenager, mouthing the words "He'll kill her."

Beef slowly walks up the stairs hearing a bit of commotion. He's half way out the doorway and says,

Unless you guys are throwing a party, what the hell is with all the- Shit!

Beef fumbles for a weapon, he manages to unstrap his MP7 off his shoulders. Looking around, he notices no one is firing.

Beans, what is Will smiths' future Men in black partner doing in our doorway? /

Beans turns his gaze from Ali and Edwin in the hallway to over the banister at the basement door. Scratching his head as he leans forward a bit against the banister.

They're here to molest everyone.

Beans slowly makes his way for the stairway, the sound from his peg leg (No longer wooden, it's an Eli type leg given to me by Old Man.) contrasts the heavy clomping of the grayish OTA boot on his right leg.

**Edwin sees Beans approach, Edwin takes his hand from Ali's before waving his hands about in a panicked motion, whispering the obvious question...

"Is it here to kill us?"

**Edwin looks over Beans, standing on his tip-toes to see through the banister; the bone white mask pre-occupied in the bar, Edwin gulps slightly.

As multiple people enter the room, the Unit starts to feel slightly unnerved. He thanks that his face isn't visible, the face-plate keeping the intimidating look to the multiple people. He nods his head, the Elite moving towards the exit, brushing past Matt, the white armored man paces towards the APC, standing beside the silver beast.

The Unit inside turns first towards Beef, slightly confused at the Will Smith comment. As he hears Beans reply, he slowly begins to gaze upward, noticing he left the banister. "<:: In response to the man behind me... because I can. That's why."

The Unit slowly turns, moving to follow the path of his companion, halting just next to Matt, he looks down to him, speaking to anyone who can hear him, "<:: I shall be back in a few days, maybe a week (when server comes back up). Until then, I suggest you work on your manners. Also, tell the small female that decided to charge me I said bye."

With those words, the Unit moves past the armed citizen, returning to the armored hull of his APC. After a few seconds of quiet, the engine once again roars, the heavy vehicle now rolling down the road again, moving off into the depths of the Outlands to continue the trip between separate Cities.

Matt turns his head and looks at Beans.
"Beans, let's talk in private."
Quickly Matt starts to move towards the stair case and climb up to the "Music room" pulling out a key and unlocking the door. Walking in to the room and then turns on his heel and sits down on the cot looking at the door way.

Beans pushes himself from the banister, pulling his arms towards his back then up towards the ceiling, yawning and nodding as he starts back up to the top of the stairs.

'Course you wan' talk in private.

As Matt shuffles up the stairs and past Beans, he turns, following him through the hallway and past Edwin and Ali and into the music room, kicking the door shut behind him.

**Edwin frowns slightly as the pair enter the banister area, turning to Ali, smiling.

"Guess they need privacy. Sounds like he left, want to go back down?"

After the APC has left, the vortigaunt cocks his head to the side in confusion. "The Combine use words as a weapon, rather then their weapons." The vortigaunt looks around the room at no one in particular, before shrugging his shoulders. "This one is confused."

Scruffy comes from the basement, some dried blood stains the area below his nostrils. He pulls his Mongols MC leather vest on, tripping to the bar.

Ori comes out of his hiding place, wiping the sweat off of his forehead.
"That was... Interesting. Never met combine who just want to talk.

He then feels useless, as he did not do anything, nor /will/ do anything to help.
"Anybody needs help with something?"

Matt looks Beans in the eyes.
"That CmD, was here to scout us out."
"His return is more worry some, make sure your people are ready to fight or leave this valley if push comes to shove."
Matt looks down at the cot then over to the Piano.
"I'm going to be heading out in a little bit to grab some supplies and then get the clinic ready to mobilize, I suggest you do the same.
However, if its just another 'Friendly visit' I'm going to be getting in contact with a few other people, and we're going to sit down and talk.
That includes you, and only you."
Matt gets up and then grabs a backpack under the cot and then a small box under the Piano bench. Opening it out of view of Beans.
