I can't really say that there's a best game ever. I can say that there is games that I enjoy more than others. Sadly I have yet to find a game to label my favorite.  ::)

But here's a short list of games that I've had tons of fun with:

Kingdom Hearts 2

Super Smash Brothers Melee

Soul Calibur 2

Pokemon Colosseum

The Fallout and Elder Scrolls series

 Half-Life 2 is probably one of the best games. Halo 4 is probably one of the best games.

 I don't know but these are the two I actually like.

Fallout 3, Darkest of Days, Syndicate, Penumbra (Series), Max Payne (Series), Soldier of Fortune 1&2 (Not the shitty one for X360), Manhunt.

It's mostly opinion really - but oh god Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2 were amazing, Diablo 2 was great too, I couldn't ever pick one game to be labeled as the best

Burnout Revenge was fucking amazing. Metal Gear Solid 2 being another one of my favorites. GTA IV is another favorite...fuck it, I can't decide.

Isn't the title a bit misleading to what it's actually about?

Anyway, favorite games of all time have to be... Doom and Warcraft 2.

Favorite games currently are Medieval 2 Total War, Legend of Grimrock (amazing dungeon RPG like the really old games) and Skyrim (because Dawnguard).

EDIT: Forgot to add that The Sims 1 is also an all-time favorite.
