Man who needs a wep that hurts anyways. If anything just a like an item/swep that just emits a green light from your hand or something. I feel like that would be enough for us vortigaunts to roleplay with. We don't need to pew pew. Also love the idea about vort chat that sounds like it could go somewhere =D.

Which is partly the reason I don't see the need for one - while the Vorts ARE good roleplayers and I know being 100% serious all the time is hard, I see vorts mess around way too often, a swep that does no damage would be fine IMO...

I don't really care about damage values and shit, I just would like to have an anim, and sparkles and shit for effects. It helps with immersion and such.

Well, with the lack of a SWEP I just use my tool gun to make a soda can invisible then I put a green laser trail on it and pretend it's Vortessence. The SWEP isn't needed but it would be a nice touch.

An interesting concept to develop would be that of a SWEP that does not kill the target, rather it makes them turn into a ragdoll for a certain amount of time.

This concept would also support the theory that their power isn't directly lethal, but can still do some harm.
