IC Character Name: Liam Hendry
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.In Liam's extensive time at City 45, he has witnessed many illegal acts. These acts range from assault to murder, theft to black market distribution. Liam doesn't stand for it, he wants to go farther than pressing a button on his hip and stammering out the crime. He wants to be the one investigating, apprehending and punishing.
When Liam was a boy, he developed a fiery passion for law. Even as a small child, Liam never stepped out of line, following every rule his parents and teachers set. His passion was becoming a small hinderance because as Liam grew older, the children around him became stronger and more mature. They didn't like being told not to do something, and they made that clear through bullying Liam physically. Although Liam would sometimes win these engagements, they made him the gruff, suspicious man he is today. In his eyes, the small bullies and rule breakers of his past are the large, anti Union rebels of today. They must be brought to justice.
Following on from above, Liam's only goal in life was to become part of the law. Whether it was as a judge, a laywer, or a policeman, Liam wanted to be it. Since the combine invasion, some opportunities have been withdrawn from his options, but one still remains. The Metropolitan Police Force.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)When he was a child, Liam was bullied for being so stern about rules. This only made him more determined to make sure everyone else was doing the right thing. It aslo toughened him up, physically and mentally. He is suspicious of nearly everyone, due to the mass amounts of crime in Durban. Liam sees the Universal Union as a beacon shining through the darkness for uniformity and a lawless future. Because of this, he is extremely loyal to them, their cause, and their goals.
Due to his time as part of a criminal organisation that broke rules daily, Liam feels a lot of regret, a lot of anger, and a lot of hatred for himself.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.The Combine Civil Authority will be an amazing experience for both myself and my character. The sheer satisfaction gained by ranking a unit from RCT to 01 is amazing, as is the time spent building my character and increasing my RP capabilities. The character development, I expect, will be a key role in my time at the CCA and seeing how this server's MPF faction operates from the inside will be interesting.
For Liam, he is expecting the MPF to be what he always dreamed of. Catching anti-citizens and showing them what's right and what's wrong with a stunstick seems bliss to Liam. He expects to find many memorable experiences within the CCA and is willing to go out of his way to find them.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Born to a wealthy family in Durban, South Africa, Liam had many opportunities offered to him as a child. Opportunities such as; the best schooling, tutoring, any sort of training he could wish for and of course, the money to buy whatever he wanted. Other children regarded him as an object of interest, as most children in Durban, especially the white kids, were shunned, poor and unhealthy. But here was this boy, Liam, who had it all.
As he grew older, he found himself developing two passions. Engineering and law. He studied the two subjects at school, and excelled in both. When he left school, he went to university and studied law, while taking a part time job at a local garage. Unfortunately, the garage he held a part time employment at was owned and operated by a large crime family in Durban. As such, Liam spent most of his time in the garage dismantling stolen cars, hiding weapons and drugs in car chassises and other, illegal, operations. Liam, unable to find any other jobs to do with mechanics, stuck to the garage, his passion for machinery would keep him there for a couple of years.
In his spare time, Liam was addicted to inventing and tinkering with machines. His house was littered with little gizmos and gadgets, blueprints and tools. However, he never patented anything.
Just as Liam's third year of studying law was about to commence, the garage he worked at was raided by the local police. Liam, unfortunately, was working at the time. He was apprehended and, due to corrupt judges who were bribed by the rival crime family, sent to life imprissonment.
Fortunately for Liam, his family made their money from mercenary work, and they loved him dearly. On the way to prison, Liam's prison bus was ambushed, halted, and blown apart. Liam, sitting at the back, recieved a few burns and a nasty shock from the explosion, but was left unharmed. His uncle and father pulled him out of the wreckage, snapped his shackles, and gave Liam a ride to the local airport.
Liam was then sent on a plane to the UK.
As the plane landed, the combine invaded.
Liam, although hiding out for a few weeks in London, was captured, put on a transport, and sent to City 45. He's been there ever since.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?I was an 02 on my first ever CP character, and a small squad, myself included, were raiding the slums on C18. I wont go into details, but I was captured. What then ensued was a lengthy, but extremely fun and enjoyable, torture session.
It was a massive leap in character development and my own RP skills.
