1187 has to be one of the best single player mods I've ever played for HL2, However slightly uncanon it is its just fun as hell for me.

 Underhell is quite the magnificent game and beats 1187. You saw how much time they put in it right? It's probably one of the best mods out there, although 1187 is second on my list.

A new mod came out very recently, it's titled 'Grey' if you're into scary HL2 mods, I say you give it a try.

Nightmare House 2. Best story, animations, and voice acting I have seen in a Half Life 2 mod. It's up there with Underhell on my list. The concept is almost the same as FEAR 2 if you like that kind of stuff, I found it very entertaining.

Restistance and Liberation (The last one, WW2) Is amazing. I'm in the 22nd which is a realism unit within RnL. Even after a year of playing it, it's still fun. Most maps are absolutely huge and the 1.7 version is coming out soon :3
