Artyom Chokavich's Civil Authority Application

OOC Name: [SGRP] DJ Disturbed Soviet

IC Character Name: Artyom Chokavich

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Artyom would like to join the CCA because he feels that he should take part in this great crusade to help the already on duty members of the UU keep the city well under control from treacherous crimes and citizens at bay.
He would also like to join the CCA because he respects the work they do and what they have done.
Also he believes he should help them at the hard work-ship they are doing to keep this world civil, and to keep society stable and under complete control.
Artyom has a clear idea at what it takes to become apart of the CCA and he would like the challenge to become a Civil Authority Unit.
He will lay his life for the fellow CCA citizen or not, he is very persistent on becoming a leader or a follower of this great campaign for the UU.
He feels he should be allowed to follow his patriotic duty of being a Combine Civil Authority Unit.
Artyom has been thinking and preparing to send in his application. He has spent most of his month perfecting the application so he can hand it in hopefully being accepted.
When and if he is accepted he has made a promise to him self he will do above and beyond for the UU and as a Combine Unit.

2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Artyom is a extremely loyal man, he has always obeyed things to the bitter end unless they were way out of proportion, which most were.
Artyom is extremely lawful and won't stand by if one is doing a crime, he does not take matters into his own hands in fear of the consequences that may follow from the police.
Artyom is also highly trustworthy being a lawyer made him like this, which he believes is an excellent trait to have.
Artyom is ruthless he will not stop until the job is complete or he has done it to the best of his abilities.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
OOCLY: If I am accepted into the CCA I expect a few things. I mainly expect to have a good roleplay experience not only chasing and putting anti-citizens to justice but a good, fun passive role-play experience as well.
I also expect that in the Combine Civil Authority I will gain experience as a role-player not only to make me a better Combine Unit but to also better me as a role-player in general. I hope to build on top of the skills I've already obtained and learned.
My role-playing experience has been excellent so far I don't see how it will stop.

ICLY: George expects many things from the Combine Civil Authority. He expects experience doing the thing he has wanted to do for the longest time but most of all training.
He expects to be trained in various ways, all able to help him when the time calls for it. Like weapons training when staring death in the eye he want's to be able to defend him self in time before anything should happen.
He wants to be able to keep those criminally disturbed citizens off the streets and re-educate them so they are no longer an anti-citizen.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Artyom was born in a Ukraine city known as Cherkasy. His date of birth was August 19th, 1977 and it showed on his face. His younger and teenage years were focused in the suburbs, his school being the short distance of two blocks from his home.
He attended Cherkasy school house from grade one to grade twelve. After his graduation night, he lived with his parents for another four years until the inevitable happened. It started as nothing, just his father working in a munitions factory, developing and making weapons for the military, police, basically anyone with enough money to buy them.
One of these customers, was the Ukranian mob, and that is what led to it all going down hill. The mob did what every other customer would do, they bought the weapons they were interested in and then, unlike the other customers, they killed Artyom's father with the same weapon they had purchased.
This tragic night, led to even more tragedy two years later, his mother dying of thyroid cancer at the rather young age of 40. After these events, Artyom ended up selling his parents home and giving every belonging his mother and father had to other relatives in the family.
Now, Artyom had been saving money up, he wanted to visit Moscow, get away from the place it happened from so this is what he did, he bought a train ticket and early the next morning, he jumped on the train without a second thought running through his head.

When the train reached the city of Moscow in the wee hours of the next morning, he looked around the city for hours, trying to find an apartment and when he did, regardless of price, he purchased a room. After a few weeks of learning the ins and out of the city, he figured he was ready to apply for a university, located right in the core of Moscow.
He applied, and after nearly two weeks of waiting, sleeping, and more waiting he got the acceptance letter in the mail. His heart sank, he had been waiting for this moment to finally come and now, it has. A few years later, having now finished the university courses he had fully learned the English language among a higher pretegeous honor, he had achieved his law degree.
His plan now was to return to Cherkasy, which he did and visited his old friends, made some new ones in the local bars and venues but the best, and possibly worst thing he might've done, was fall in love with a girl. Of course, this did not last very long between the two, she soon jumped onto another guy in which Artyom was familiar with, someone whom he disliked from his school house.
Artyom soon picked up a job as a lawyer in his home town, a criminal case (Which was a big case for him, being his first one). From then on, he knew he was set on the life of being a lawyer, dealing with the public, helping potentially innocent victims get out of the court systems but most of all, helping every one that came to him. He had loved to help people and in this business, that is what it was all about.
He continued to work cases as a lawyer until he took an early retirement at the age of twenty six, retiring to a nice and cozy hostel on the city outskirts of Cherkasy. On one such eventful evening, Artyom took the back door leading out of the pub late one night, he had been visiting his friend and they got drinks together to catch up on old times.

The pub wasn't located in the city, not even close. It was on an old dirt road leading to the downtown area of the city, mostly this pub was were the not so nice crowd hung around. He glanced behind him as his feet continue to walk down the dirt ridden road to see a car approaching from behind. It's headlights blared in his face, like music turned up way too loud as he covered his eyes.
The next thing he knew, the sound of the car was gone, everything was gone. He had been hit, but not by the car by something else, right smack dab in the back of the head. It hurt like hell, but he couldn't feel, hear, or do anything as of now, he was unconscious. When he awoke, groggy and his vision out of focus he gathered his surrounding. He was sitting in an old wooden chair in the middle of the room, an old furnace burning in front of him like a bad horror movie from the 70's.
The room was dark and damp, the only visible light was pulsating from the furnace depths, looking like Hell had come early. Another source of light, was the small, flickering light directly over his head, It was close enough for him to bump with nearly no effort at all. Two men walked into the room, casually but, in a no bullshit manner.
They told him exactly why they had taken him captive, they wanted him to "protect" one of their top members who had been caught up in a criminal case that if went wrong, could mean bad things for the family. At first, Artyom refused, he had done his time as a lawyer and didn't want to jump back in it full swing. However, the men got their point across quickly with no words, and a lot of force and a lot of power. After the beating, Artyom could barely feel his face, and he was hell bent on not getting another lick that night.
He agreed to do it, he agreed to help out the crime family that had killed his father. Part of him thought "Karma" but the other part thought "Revenge". They let him go, and over the course of three trials in court, Artyom got him off the hook, clearing his name and getting him out of police custody.

After the trials, Artyom couldn't help but pick up the habit of smoking. Sure, it was bad but he figured "Why not? You're going to die anyway.". A few days later he heard a knock on his door, he was a bit worried, after what had happened to his father but he went to the door anyway.
In front of the door stood a new man, freckles on his nose and glasses that screamed geek. The man had a briefcase in his hand and as Artyom opened the door the man held his arm out, offering it to him.
Without either of them speaking a single word, Artyom took it, acknowledged him with a nod and closed the door. Inside the case, was one million rubles, equivalent to thirty thousand dollars. The mob never came for his help again, but they did keep a watchful eye on hims, just to make sure he didn't make a fatal mistake.
Artyom decided to find a part time job, leading him to become a "Document organizer", made him feel like a secretary but he didn't say that to his employers. He worked at this job for four years, leading up to the Seven Hour War. He was leaning up against the alley wall when it first started, it was bad, the sound of sirens going off like a circus act, gunfire lit up the already bright afternoon sky, making it brighter.
It sounded like World War Three had started, or Satan and God were slugging it out in the middle of the city. Either way, Artyom  wasn't going to stay there and be caught up in the middle of it. He flicked his cigarette to the ground, walking towards the streets and when he turned left, it went blank He didn't know what had happened but when he woke up, he wasn't laying on the city streets anymore.
No, he was on a cold slab of ground in a dark room. He slowly pushed  himself up off the ground, peering through the window and coughing quietly. He couldn't see much but there were some men, or what looked like men standing by the doors, talking in a monotonous voice back and forth. After a week of staying in the cell, he heard what others called them, the Combine, the Civil Protection, the CP, all of these names sounded odd but he went along with it.
As that week progressed, they shipped him into a city, unknown of where it was but some said it was in Europe. When they got there, they heard a new voice, welcoming to the city. "Welcome, welcome to City-45...you're safer here.".
