IC Character Name: Dustin LaRosa
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so. My character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he wishes to enforce laws, protect the citizens, and
hinder the development of resistance groups. The story of why he wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority takes place within the area of District Six where the district is overcome with anarchy and disobedience. On a seemingly normal day in City 45, young Dustin was wandering around the district loitering when he stumbled upon his dear friend Aaron, who appeared near death, was covered in blood, and had a broken leg. Dustin felt overwhelmed with the desire to save this victim. He rushed Aaron to the closest Combine Civil
Authority unit. After Aaron stabilized, Dustin questioned him about what happened. The events that Aaron told Dustin
shocked him to his most inner fears.
Aaron revealed to Dustin that the remnants of a broken resistance group that was enraged over the death of their
comrades. They attempted to murder the innocent civilian Aaron simply because they couldn't resist their anger any longer.
Dustin believed that Aaron would have died if it wasn't for himself finding Aaron, and for the help of Unit 531 - the Combine Civil Authority Unit who saved Aaron's life. Aaron's life wasn't in any danger anymore and Unit 531 did a fantastic job of fixing the majority of Aaron's wounds.
Thanks to the Combine Civil Authority Unit 531, Dustin was inspired to join the Combine Civil Authority and help
protect people just like Unit 531. Dustin discovered his true dream thanks to the actions she took. He knew that he
had to do what was right and help protect the innocent people so atrocities like this never occurs again.
In conclusion, he wishes to become a part of the Combine Civil Authority in order to stop rebellious acts and to help the Universal Union.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy) Dustin is loyal: He would not stab you in the back, yet at the same time he would try to complete the task he was
entrusted with. Dustin is very dynamic though, he becomes very quiet and shy around his superiors and becomes
very passive in their presence. He can be trusted; Dustin would never lie to a fellow Unit, and at the same time he
would not inform the citizens of unnecessary things that might incite panics, riots, or anything of that nature. He is
honor bound and feels that he should be held responsible for his actions, whether they be acts of good, or acts of
evil. If he makes a mistake he will try to his utmost ability to correct that mistake and to ensure that it does not occur
again.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character. My character and I do not expect this to be easy for either of us. Both of us will have to overcome obstacles such as refining my role-playing abilities, learning the codes and what they mean, and how to properly act as a Combine Civil Authority unit. We also think that it would be somewhat fun, as in some of my ICly and OOCly friends are in the Combine Civil Authority, we think they will help us out the most along with the DvLs and other high ranked Units. He also worries about what the CmDs do to recruits, because he saw CmDs talk to higher ranked Units and it was not about giving them a reward for doing a great job.
Dustin feels that there are going to be hardships for him in the near future. He worries about things like who can he turn to for help, who can help him learn what the codes mean, and who might be able to just make him feel welcomed. Although it might seem bleak now, he still believes that there's a bright future ahead of him, and that he can do some good for this city. He also worries about what rebels and mentally disturbed citizens will do to him and the Union, but he believes he overcome it.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words. Dustin LaRosa was born in London England, His mother was Emily LaRosa, and he had one younger brother named Damon. Dustin never met his real dad, and his mother never managed to get a decent boyfriend. The longest relationship he saw her in only lasted a couple months. Obviously, she never managed to re-marry because of this.
His mother was always heartbroken when her boyfriends dumped her so Dustin learned how to be there for
someone...he learned at an early age what true desperation is. Dustin learned how to be the man of the house, as
well as how to be the big brother his younger brother Damon needed. Most of his free time was spent with his brother
Damon. Unfortunately, at the age of thirteen Dustin and Damon soon split apart. Damon was very stubborn and...a couple jewels away from a full treasure if you get what I mean; however, Dustin was very calm, kind, considerate, and obedient. Dustin began spending more time with his mother after Damon left.
He didn't have that many friends, but he also didn't want that many. He occasionally talked to his friends in school; Dustin could be considered a "nerd, while his brother was the more popular "jackass" of the school. Damon would always destroy things and ignore the
rules just to be rebellious. Damon was extremely arrogant and thought of himself as a god; however, most people
liked him because of the attitude he had in life.
Later in life, when Dustin turned 18, he dyed his Hair blonde. He wanted to look different from his brother Damon as much as possible. They were born with brown hair. Although, three years later was when his whole life changed, the Seven Hour War occurred and Earth lost. The only way Dustin knew what was happening was by the Gunfire noises and Explosions. Damon and his Mother were on the deck, lying down on the ground...with guns pointed at them. They were both crying. Dustin opened the door and tried to help, but he was knocked out by a Combine Overwatch soldier with the butt of the Unit's gun.
When he woke up his whole family and everyone outside was tied up. Dustin tried to struggle, but it was impossible to break free. Damon smirked at Dustin, but that was before noticing that there dead bodies, blood, and guts everywhere. So Dustin took the smart route: be nice to the combine while Damon took the stupidest possible choice: try to kill the combine.
Damon and Dustin were shoved in a train, while their Mother was put onto a different one. They were in tears saying "Goodbye!" to each other. When the train started to take off Dustin saw his mother try to fight back the armed soldiers, she failed, and was executed on the train and Dustin saw it all. He started to cry harder, but silently. Damon was not crying or anything, he refrained from showing any emotion.
When Dustin and Damon LaRosa got sent into City 45 they decided it was best that they split ways. The food that the Units gave to the Citizens made him forget all what happened, even his mother dying. Damon ended up meeting a resistance team in District Six, and Dustin trying to live a normal life, being a part of the background, not getting a second glance, but then that event occurred, it was too late for that. All he wants to do now is help the Universal Union the best he can.
Damon soon died later in City 45, Dustin found out from one of his friends that he found out to be a rebel. Around two weeks later: there was a riot, Citizens were throwing all contraband they had at the Nexus, also knocking out other Citizens with suitcases. Dustin reported it as quick as possible, the Citizens were caught in the act by THETA and CmD Units. The rebellious group instantly ran for the benches and acted like they did not do a thing. The Units started to shoot randomly to stop the riot, the shot was a inch away from Dustin's head. Dustin crapped himself and hit the floor while everyone else was just standing there watching him and the Units. The robotic Units thought Dustin was the threat since he was in the plaza.
The THETA Units grabbed their grenades and began throwing them. The first was directed to Dustin which was next to Clark, they both got injured from the grenade, but they did not know yet. The rest of the grenades where directed towards the rebellious group on the benches. While Dustin and Clark were being shot at and yelled at to get inside the UCH, they were smirking at the dead rebellious Citizens- or so they thought they were dead. As the two men were walking into the UCH, something caught Dustin's eye.
He saw a trail of blood behind themselves, leading to them as well. Dustin checked his own body for shrapnel from the grenade, and he found some shrapnel buried in his left foot and his right shoulder. He then became shocked, so he ran to Clark and checked his body and found something worse than Dustin's own injuries. Clark had shrapnel buried into his hip (Possibly kidney) and his lower stomach.
This frightened Dustin more than anything else before, since Clark was a man he somewhat loved and he has seriously bad injuries. Dustin pulled out the shrapnel from his left foot, he screamed in pain. He attempted to pull out the shrapnel in his right shoulder, at first it would not come out, then he used the counter in the UCH lobby to stop it from slipping off his hand. He screamed in pain, everyone in the room heard the crackle of his bone.
Dustin now noticed all the Citizens awake were in the lobby, as injured as Clark. Dustin started to worry about if all these Citizens will die, but then he saw that the Citizens in there was mostly rebels. He began to not give a fuck about if they die or not, but then a woman run to him and restrained him to the ground by sitting on him and she put some odd homemade bandage. Dustin wanted to take it off as soon as it got on, put the female Citizen said "If you want to use your arm, your should maybe keep that on for a day or two.". so he calmed down and blacked out.
Dustin woke up in UCH:A2 and got out to find a trail of blood going into the UCH showers. He ran into the showers to find Clark on the floor with a female Citizen on top of him, Dustin thought she was attacking or raping Clark so he almost kicked her, before he saw that the female was giving him some water and bandages. Dustin began to hate the resistance more, he wished to report the female for having bandages but she is healing Clark, so that was a stupid idea. When the female got out of the showers after telling them to be careful, Dustin said "Let us get out of here before we get assumed for PDA". Clark laughed and got up and went outside.
The two friends went outside to see Citizens throwing more garbage and suitcases at the Nexus, he ran to the crowd as said in his request device "Dustin LaRosa #81621|In front Nexus|Citizens are starting this riot again, please stop them before we all die.", which set of a rebellious male that began to attack Dustin. "Kill the Loyalist!" he heard that day before and again and again. The Rebel threw a punch at Dustin and he grabbed the fist and pushed back with all his strength, pushing him back onto the benches. A Unit came out of the Nexus, the Rebel saw this and ran as fast as possible to District Six.
Dustin felt proud that he stopped the riot, even prouder that he did it without Unit training. But yet he felt frightened he may get detained for somewhat fighting back, though he did not, he still feels a bit guilty. Dustin though started to think "Who is to blame for injuring Clark..?", he thought about this as he slept, and found out it was either the robotic Units or the rebellious Citizens for starting it all. Although from all of these events he has been through that day, he grew used to sounds of gunfire and the sight of death. He doesn't care for a Rebel's death, he only cares now for Units and loyal Citizens.

When I was on my Josh Wolfe Character -- that is now Pk'd -- gave ALL the Information of his rebel group, and a APEX OfC Threw him across the Room, and was beat greatly. He limped back to District Six, 'Scout' and 'Clyde' already knew what he done. They thew him on a chair and began to slowly make him hate himself. But 'Clyde', he HATED Josh, he grabbed a knife of the stove and began cutting into Josh's forehead. He engraved "TRAITOR" into his forehead.
Then they all went out of the room to leave him alone. Josh started to cry about all he has done, later that day, Josh saw 'Scout' -- the leader of his rebellious group -- being escorted into the Nexus. Josh screamed out "Scout'!, then a Unit started to detain him, but he managed to get away into District Six. Then a mysterious male started to question him about Scout's death, then he almost killed Josh, but he let him live.
Then Clyde came, after hearing a gunshot and blood splatters from outside. Clyde went up to Josh and put his gun to him head, then he pulled his trigger, blood and brain matter splattered all over the all. Clyde thought Josh was a traitor and gave 'Scout' to the Combine Civil Authority willingly, Josh died for something he did not do, and no one remembered him. No one cared.
