Minge running?
« on: February 25, 2012, 03:41:40 PM »
I don't understand this rule to well so feel free to enlighten me first I would like you to examine this chat log.
I am Ripley FYI and I standing in the street above the underground bar after witnessing a man with a sub machine wave a large crowd of people into the underground bar and I was walking backwards near the factory there.

I start running to that tunnel and they chase me all the way to the end of the second tunnel filling me full of bullets then proceeding to call me minge runner and saying that was the reason why I got banned and kicked off CCA.

I don't get the whole point of what minge running is I attempt to throw his gun off balance or knock it out of his hands and run. Instead he recovered before I do a /me and was aiming down the sights, do I stand there and do /me attempts to run away and with this guy now aiming right at my head just shoot me down?

I've had this issue with a lot of combine as well and I don't understand why I have to wait around for there response. They are obviously going to shoot at me. This is demonstrated by the bullets whizzing by my head which most don't even bother to shoot to miss its usely head shots or spamming the pistol fire button making it look like a automatic. Then after this they proceed to call me a minge runner and then proceed to laugh about me being demoted and why I was banned.

Good times CG good times

You make the decision you want to flee from an attacker. You'll have to add detail depending on context, obviously.

* GeneralTrivium attempts to run from [target]

Then you wait for their reaction. They may stop you, they may not, they may just pull out a weapon.

After that reaction you can actually start running.

You were perfectly in your right to start running after he dodged your attack. He's also in his right to start shooting at you, because he dodged your attack.

However, depending on the distance and how experienced he is with weapons he should have-

A) Had his weapon knocked out of his hands
or
B) Shot to miss.

If you started running after he did his /me of dodging the attack, then that's not mingerunning.

He can be guilty of playing to win however. He's a citizen with probably limited weapons experience, and also underfed, meaning his reactions wouldn't be so good as to dodge your attack.

In my opinion, mingerunning is when you just run away or when you do something like
"/me attempts to run away" and then promptly run without awaiting a response.

That's exactly what minge running is, what this guy did was just make a logical /me and it's saddening that he was insulted for it.
