somethings wrong with garrys mod

  i havent been able to get on garrys mod at all ive uninstalled it and reinstalled countless times everytime i launch it my computer moniter turns blue and says Unsupported format and restarts its self
can any one help??

Well, let's start off with the basic questions:

1. Is your game a pirated copy?

2. Have you modified your game content in any way? (Aside from addons)

3. Do you have virus scanning software?


Before you answer, do the following:

Scan your computer for malware/viruses.
Reinstall your Garry's Mod by deleting the "Steam\SteamApps\<Steamname>\garrysmod" folder.

If that doesn't fix the problem, reply by answering the above questions.

If i had pirated it i wouldnt be allowed to play on the server 
but anyway i had to get a new moniter because the old didnt work i guess?
I play in Window Mode on games for convenience.
