My gun keeps eating my ammo

Whenever I load some ammo into my SMG then Disconnect My gun is empty Dont know if this is a glitch or Im not doing something

 If you already loaded ammo in the weapon and you want to holster your weapon (since this keeps eating ammo), you should try switching characters. Works for me like a charm.
