1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.My character had aspirations of becoming an engineer before the invasion. Connor Fardoe developed some bad habits when he went through high school and because of this he did poorly in school and got an overall bad education. He was not particularly excited about becoming an engineer, but it's what his dad did and it's what his parents wanted for him, and with his poor education he had little choice. When the Combine invaded, however, he was upset at first, but then realized it was a great opportunity.
At first Josh figured the invasion wouldn't affect him much. He was split up from his family, and he doesn't even know where there are now, but it doesn't affect him much. Lots of others got split up from their families and even killed, so he figured himself lucky. He knew the Combine and the Civil Authority would provide him rations and adequate housing, so he had nothing to complain about. Although after a while, and after enough relocations, he got fed up with it, and the thought that was in the back of his mind came to action - To join the Civil Protection.
Connor wasn't stupid though, he doesn't rush into things without thinking about it. He had considered CWU, however in the CWU it lacks a lot of things Connor wanted. It lacked power, which was an idea that sounded great in Connor's mind. It lacked responsibility, and it lacked the same sense of achievement he expects. He knew the Combine Civil Authority would be a risky job, but he's always been that kind of guy. He figured he would enjoy the risk, and his life wasn't going anywhere anyways. So he made the decision, and after receiving loyalist status, he applied for the Combine Civil Authority.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Risk taker, responsible, good team worker and good communication skills. Computer and technological skills and well disciplined. Ambitious hard-worker with good leadership skills.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.What I am personally expecting from joining the CCA is, for the most part, good roleplay opportunities. I also enjoy the thrill of attempting to advance through the ranks, but I am mostly looking forward to roleplaying and meeting new people ICly and OOCly. I expect to take orders from my superiors but still build relationships with them, and build strong relationships working with my peers of a same or similar rank, and have our IC and OOC relationships strengthen as we advance. Some people will of course be lost or separated, but that's the fun and suspense of roleplay!
What Connor ICly expects from the CCA is better food, sleeping arrangements, and overall way of life. He joins because he wants to be better off, and he's tired of the "same old, same old". He also expects to build relationships, just like I OOCly do. In the same way, he also expects to hopefully advance and be put into action scenarios to add some spice to his normally boring life.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Connor was born in Toronto, Ontario. He was born into a pretty good family. They definitely had financial problems, but they could afford a roof over their head and food on their plates. Connor did not have a good relationship with his parents, and when he was a teenager and he started to make his own choices his quality of life headed downhill. His parents fought all the time, and his marks in school were suffering because of the things he was getting involved in outside of school.
Connor's education was poor - Not because he wasn't smart, but because of his poor activity in school. His parents were growing old, and he needed to be able to support himself. His parents had an idea for what he should do, but he didn't agree with it very much. He didn't have much of a choice.
When the Combine invaded, that's when things changed. He was separated from his family, and he was taken to the desert of City 45. At first his plan was to lay low, like every other citizen. He figured he had it easy. He had food, shelter, and clothing, and now he didn't have all the stress of free choice like he did before. He obeyed the authorities, and lived his life.
When he made his choice to join the CCA, that's when a lot of things started to change. Around this time was also when he observed more resistance movement. His stance on the resistance was neutral at first, but after a while he grew to dislike them with their very blunt ways and blatant disregard for the natural order of things, and the intervention of the Combine. Now he has made his choice, and he simply waits for his reply, to continue his story of Connor Fardoe's life.
5) Have you ever had a CCA character here at Catalyst Gaming? If so, explain why it was removed.Yes, for transfering zip ties to another character. I can promise you it won't happen again. Veran personally gave me permission to re-apply.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?It was on a community called Gentleman's Gaming Lounge (GGL), and it was the days of passive me and a few others had in our apartment. Me and a few others were placed in an apartment in a CCH housing block, and we passived for days straight, with different events happening such as plumbers coming to our apartment and the such. It was honestly the best roleplay I've ever had. The few of us became best friends but slowly and unfortunately split apart because of in-game events.
