My reasoning, though, is that the two are way too similar with an oppressed majority treated as nothing more than human resources, a class of soldiers who are encouraged ICly to power trip, and an oligarchy of administrators whose job is to represent all of them.
Of course, I may be missing something, so feel free to explain to me how Medieval RP could provide a different experience from HL2RP.
This is like saying that every single shooter is the same, every rpg is the same, every action book is the same, etc. You can simplify anything and make it sound dumb and useless; 'videogames are stupid, all that you do is push buttons to make lights change colors' 'books are stupid, all you do is turn pages and read stuff that you can only imagine, never have an image of' 'movies are stupid, they're just changing pictures' 'any form of excercise is stupid, it's just the same movement over and over again' This argument doesn't work, of course rp is going to have some similar aspects. There needs to be an opposing force for it to be interesting, something to talk about, as opposed to people sitting in their houses doing nothing for 3 hours. Real people don't sit and twiddle their thumbs, they discuss things, be it taxes, the government, the laws, politics, religion, etc. etc. You need something to talk about, something to do.

Prisons could follow lots of systems from films or books; could Battle Royal or Condemned that shit; A prison ran by the inmates and the guards go in to search for guns and shit or to prevent escape, they also patrol the outside (Always outnumbered, never out gunned); A massive pool of corruption and despotism, where guards are everywhere but don't do much, apart from be cunts.
And if you sit in your cell complaining and only doing passive, you're part of the problem, sure make toilet brew, but at least do some shit with it. But it would possibly benefit from a less controlling auth system
Medieval RP would be interesting if it was fantastical (Non-Tolkien); elements like Arcanum has; technologists and Mages, alchemists and smiths, sorcerer kings and brutal beasts; even lovecraftian shit would be great.
all of this prison RP has the potential to be 10/10, it's original, and it has a LOT of room to be creative and as vengeance said, medieval rp could also be fun

Prison RP has highest votes? Kek.
I see everyone likes cell based passive RP for no reason.
prison RP is super fun, bruh, don't knock it until you try it think of all the shit prisoners do in prison black market, etc. i mean sure if you're a bastard that cant be bothered to create rp you'll get nowhere cause you'll just be goody two-shoes and afk in ur cell, but if you actually enjoy rp it'll be fun

To make it short, I'm quite a Dubstep songs fan, but I can't find any good authors. I know Klaypex and Alex S. but that's it. I also know Skrillex, but he is too much screams for me.
Post the songs you like, I'll be listening to them.
fuck, i remember listening to Klaypex's old stuff and it was really good, i wanted to listen to it again just like last week but i couldn't remember the artist for the life of me anyway, some of Datsik's stuff is good despite some of it being what people would call 'newage' dubstep Apples is pretty good; other songs I like are more electro than dubstep, so I won't bother posting them

Player Section
Steam Name: Vegas How long have you been roleplaying? (can be any game): 4-5 years How long have you been playing Garry's Mod serious roleplay?: 4-5 years
Character Section
Authorization(s): Capital D, T flags, c flags (adv dupe and adv. tooltrust, and chairs)
Name: Ideally flags would be global. Age: N/A Gender: N/A Affiliation: 1 CWU, 1 MPF, 1 Resistance, 1 freelance.
Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations. N/A
What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects? +Ability to save Cafe setups/furniture, as well as offices and kitchens. +Ability to make cafes easier using stacker, and make things look symmetrical using precision alignment. +Ability to make offices using chairs, instead of having to stand behind my desk.
What do you plan to do with these perks/defects? I plan to establish cafes without having to spend an extra 10-15 minutes each time to set them up, as well as being able to furnish offices/kitchens without having to reset everything. I will also make things look neater thanks to adv. tooltrust.
Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s)) No.
Extra Notes (optional): Seeing as how I am able to get a Metropolice Unit and a CWU worker, as well as the responsibility of being the 'leader' of the leading slums group, I believe I can handle the ability to use the Adv. Duplicator/Adv. Tooltrust flags without abusing them. Chairs explain themselves, they're just chairs, and it will also allow me to manipulate chair props using my physgun to make offices look better.
EDIT: Added T to applied flags
EDIT2: Added c to applied flags
EDIT3: Made D flags global.

seems like you could do better things to do with khubs coding time than make particle effects cling to models
you seem like one to talk raged you talk about hl2rp on the forums quite a bit but i have yet to see you on the server since it began essentially

if you unable to roleplay something really simple like facial hair without relying on a script then something is incredibly wrong with your roleplay
do you not understand he said that its fine without script but everyone is saying that if we dont get more script things the server will die, so thus he suggested something that is script-based

I have no idea what Phase Four is. All I saw was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bZ4v1yPn5M and it looked super dumb.
DarkRP with guns. Fun if semi/entirely serious, bad if its just people running around without using any RP. The video in question looks like the latter. I've had amazing experiences with it in the past, and it's what got me into serious roleplay.

I suggest we make a server running Phase Four. It's a fun gamemode, and if we administrate it properly, it can be semi-serious. You can RP or not if you want. It's relatively easy to modify from what I've seen, you can add armors and guns to it. The basis is it's DarkRP, but with armor and on Clockwork. It's rather easy to administrate, most of the population will be AFKing with printers. It'd be a split off of fully serious RP and into semi-serious roleplay. The idea is, you can choose whether or not to roleplay if we go with semi-serious. Vote and explain your thoughts below, this is not an official poll unless Rofl decides he wants it.

You can't resize props in PAC. You can resize sprites and certain models ex. the PAC prop ball, the first thing that spawns when you spawn a prop, and you can resize your character. However, you can't change the size of most things.
Every single prop/item i've ever used I could scale; unless it's a clockwork related issue.
CW related I believe All props that are addons and some PHX can be scaled, all construction/comic props and some PHX can't. Change it to alternative scaling and a fair number of props will be scaleable
Will try this.

Rolling for Dixon's char Orion walks into town, his head lowered. He [9] wears a tattered large black cloak with cloth pants, with an iron chain in his pocket, lightly dusted with rust. The chain provides +1 to attacks when using it, and the clothing provides no stats. In his pocket is [45] gold.
