I agree. We need some boards set up but that could take months because only Alaskan and Somone can create them.

Suggestions / Re: moderator« on: November 24, 2014, 05:03:07 PM »
Having moderators wouldn't help anything. If we found someone we would want to be a moderator, we may as well just promote them to admin instead. I admit, we probably do need some more admins, but adding a new rank isn't a good way to solve the times when the server is without an admin.

We will also need all of the servers set up before development starts. I'll talk to Somone about getting the boards and servers up soon. 5
News and Announcements / Re: Vote on Where Our Serious RP Server is Heading« on: November 16, 2014, 08:46:15 AM »out of the 3 that will be placed into a new poll, would probably like to see metro 2033 rp the most out of them, with my 2nd choice probably being PrisonRP Unless we plan on hosting two types of RP, this doesn't make much sense. The next poll will be to decide which server we will host, and having people select more than one option wouldn't make much sense. 6
News and Announcements / Re: Vote on Where Our Serious RP Server is Heading« on: November 09, 2014, 02:47:41 PM »I think anything with a small download rp that requires teamwork would be cool If you aren't prepared to download some content there isn't much you can do as you will be mostly using CS:S and HL2 props/materials/sounds. This severely limits what you can do in terms of canon, as custom objects would be difficult to create. 7
News and Announcements / Vote on Where Our Serious RP Server is Heading« on: November 08, 2014, 05:22:02 PM »
Edit: polling is now closed. We will create a new poll which will decide which server we will host shortly. The three options on the poll will be as follows: Metro 2033 RP, Prison RP and our own post-apocalyptic canon.
Our HL2RP server is dead. It just sits there not doing anything and nobody cares about it anymore. We feel it is time for us to hos a new serious RP server and we have taken some suggestions from a thread in the HL2RP board. I have compiled a list of all suggested themes and have prepared brief descriptions of them. The poll will be open for 7 days from when this is posted, so get voting. Our own canon We could create our own custom canon which can evolve to create a dynamic and interesting RP experience. Statua made a post about how this could work and can be viewed here. The Walking Dead RP Pretty self explanatory. It would be more focused around getting food and supplies than the threat of walkers but they could be used in some RP scenarios. The Last of Us RP Based off of the PlayStation game The Last of Us, this could be a very interesting RP that would be similar to TWD RP. One issue with this would be that not everyone has played the game or has access to it, so would rely on a wiki alone to learn about the universe. SSTRP Starship Troopers RP. This could be a very interesting sci-fi RP gamemode. PrisonRP Set in a prison, this would involve prisoners and guards roleplaying in a prison. This could turn out a lot like HL2RP, however as the guards could act a lot like Civil Protection and the prisoners would be not be given much freedom, either. CityRP A gamemode akin to Cider Two, this would be a very open type of RP which would be much like real life. It would involve a lot of passive RP, such as cooking and talking to people. Fallout RP A post-apocalyptic Clockwork schema set in the Fallout universe has been available for many years and didn't really catch on. Nobody really plays this much, but it could be a fun gamemode if we created our own custom gamemode or heavily modified an existing one. HL2 Outlands We used to host an outlands server along side our HL2RP city server. It is set in the HL2 universe but offers much more freedom than city RP. World War 3 RP A military style of RP could work very well and is not done much in Garry's Mod. It would require very active players and could offer an engaging and fun RP experience. Epidemic RP A zombie roleplay gamemode much like Severance from the days of OpenAura. Black Mesa RP Based in a Black Mesa lab before the events of HL1. Aperture Labs RP Based in Aperture Science before GLaDOS murdered everyone. I would imagine this would be much like Black Mesa RP. Medieval RP RP set in the middle ages. I have never seen this done in Garry's Mod before and could be very unique. Please forgive me for my shitty descriptions 8
General Discussion / Re: Suggest a Gaming Mouse!« on: November 01, 2014, 06:05:02 PM »razer is total shit for anything besides the deathadder. had mine for 5+ years at this point. stay away from literally everything else they make though Yes I've used some at a couple of gaming conventions and they are comfortable and have great sound quality. I don't own a pair myself, though, but from the short time I have used them they felt really nice. 9

I have a G700s and I love it. I bought it for £50 on Amazon a couple of months ago but it seems to have gone up since then. If you can get one for £50 its definitely worth it.

News and Announcements / Re: [10/29/2014] HRP Update - rip in peace your weapons edition« on: October 29, 2014, 06:19:10 PM »Compensation should have been planned with the release. Not half assed "we'll get around to it".Refunding will be done automatically when the server restarts. It refunds 75% of what was in your inventory. To add to it M9K is a very shitty unbalanced pack. The only practical use for the pack was on DarkDM servers where its flaws are widely shown. Not to mention some weapons are not even realistically (really not even sensibly) done (Shotguns, pistols,semi-auto rifles). The idea of the pack being added is just slamming a unprofessional sticker on us. Even the standard DarkRP weps are more decentThe M9K weapons obviously aren't the best weapons we could be using, but there aren't many alternatives. The Insurgency pack is really buggy and Mr Pyrous' weapons don't have physics models. The M9K weapons work and work well. If the stats of the weapons need changing, we can easily do it by editing some numbers. As it stands I'm pretty happy with them, though. 11
News and Announcements / [10/29/2014] HRP Update - rip in peace your weapons edition« on: October 29, 2014, 12:50:40 PM »Server Update Changelog:
Changes to items and your inventory I made quite a few changes to how items work. Weapons can no longer be dropped straight from being equipped. Now, they need to be holstered with the /holsterweapon command and then dropped from the inventory screen. Also, the ALT + E button combination for picking up weapons/entities is now gone. Now, just hit E on any dropped weapon or entity to put it in your inventory. To price an entity you, just hit F1 and enter the price. I have removed the distance limit for prices, also. This will make it easier to have larger and more practical shops as you do not need to man it 24/7. Your inventory has been wiped. I have replaced the old system with a new one, which has a weight limit. You'd be lucky to fit more than 3 weapons in the new inventory. This is to make gun and black market dealers more useful as you can no longer stockpile huge amounts of weapons in your inventory. Gold members and VIPs do not have a larger inventory size than regular members. Follow up update I have pushed a small update to make the inventory less of a pain to deal with. Items now drop on the floor when purchased from the F4 menu, I have fixed a duping bug and you can no longer pick up other peoples items without them having a price attached (even if it is $0). If you have any other suggestions feel free to post a thread in the suggestions board. 12

Or how about buying a Chromecast and plugging it into your TV?
Edit: Turns out you can use pretty much any smartphone/computer/laptop to control it. 14
News and Announcements / Re: HRP Pre-Update Announcement« on: October 25, 2014, 01:58:51 PM »Wait how long is it until the update?! It will be in the next few days. So which ones will be "legal" and "illegal" besides the AK and the RPG going to the "illegal" side? I am thinking any automatic weapon would be illegal, and the pistols & shotgun will be legal, like they currently are. 15
